David Richie - Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution

David Richie attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison from which he received his undergraduate degree in 1974 and law degree in 1977.  While a student at UW, he received a number of academic awards including selection to Phi Beta Kappa and Order of the Coif.  Upon graduation, David moved to Eau Claire.  The focus of his practice as been civil litigation.  He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants.  He has tried a number of cases to verdict, winning some and losing some.

David has on a number of occasions been asked by other attorneys to act as a mediator or arbitrator of civil disputes.  In addition, many judges throughout western Wisconsin have referred case to Daivd for mediation.  For a number of years David's practice has been devoted exclusively to alternate dispute resolution.  He has arbitrated hundreds of cases and mediated thousands of matters.

In days gone by, David did a great deal of running and played a lot of basketball and tennis.  These days, he is reduced to golf, bowling, and riding a stationary bike.   And, playing with his three grandchildren.
